DRESS CODE

It is important that all students have the proper clothing and shoes so they can dance safely and comfortably. Hair must be in a bun for ballet & lyrical, all other class need to have hair pulled back in a ponytail. Dress Code is strictly enforced. Students who are not properly dressed, will not be able to participate in class. All class attire is available for purchase at The Movement Center.

Each class level is designated by a particular color. Students are expected to wear the color leotard mandated for their level.

LEVEL & AGE GROUP/LEOTARD COLOR

TODDLER, PRESCHOOL, & KINDERGARTEN CLASSES – LIGHT PINK LEOTARD

GRADES 1-3 & LEVEL I/II CLASSES – PALE BLUE

GRADES 4-6 & LEVEL III CLASSES – MULBERRY

TEEN LEVEL I CLASSES – RED

TEEN LEVEL II CLASSES – ROYAL BLUE

TEEN LEVEL III CLASSES – BLACK OR PURPLE

Boys -Ballet, Tap & Jazz Black pants, white t-shirt, and proper dance shoes.

Mommy and Me- Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Caregivers can wear comfortable clothes and socks or ballet slippers.

Tiny Dancers, Fairy Tale Dance, & Dance Foundations- Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, pink ballet skirt (optional).

Acrobatics- Required colored leotard, dance shorts, no shoes (footless tights optional)

Ballet/Pointe – Required colored leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers or pointe shoes, skirt (optional).

Tap and Jazz- Required colored leotard, black capris, tan jazz shoes and/or black tap shoes.

Hip Hop- T-shirt or tank top, sweatpants or hip hop pants. Nike sneakers in black w/ white trim.

Lyrical/Contemporary- Required colored leotard, footless pink/tan/black tights or black shorts or capris, tan half sole shoes-available at The Movement Center, skirt (optional).

Elite Dance Company- Required colored leotard, black capris, tan Jazz shoes.
