Dance Intensives Ages 10 & up

These Intensives are geared towards intermediate/advanced dancers with previous training in ballet and/or jazz. These intensives are for pre-teens/teens. However, if your child is younger, but at an advanced level, they may be able to participate.

Contemporary & Choreography Intensive
Monday, July 6th – Friday, July 10th 11am-3pm
Tuition: $300.00

Love dancing and want to learn how to create your own dances? Then come join us! This week we will focus exclusively on different styles of Contemporary & Modern dance. Students will also learn how to choreograph, they will be given exercises through out the intensive and will create their own piece by the end of the week. At the end of the week parents will be invited in to see the students perform several pieces, including their own choreography! There will be a short snack/lunch break each day, so please pack a snack & drink.

Jazz Dance Intensive
*REQUIRED FOR TEEN & SENIOR ELITE CO.*
Monday, July 20th – Friday, July 24th 11am-3pm
Tuition: $300.00

This week is all about jazz dance! Classes will include Broadway jazz, lyrical jazz, leaps & turns, and strengthening & conditioning. In addition students will perform for parents at the end of the week. There will be a short snack/lunch break each day, so please pack a snack & drink. *This week is required for Teen & Senior Elite Co. members, as they will learn their jazz choreography.  Non-competition students are also welcome.

Lyrical Intensive

Monday, August 17th – Friday, August 21st 11am-3pm

This week the focus will be lyrical dance. Lyrical is a very emotional styles of dance, and this week we will not only be working on technique, but also on how to be more expressive while dancing. Improvisation is also a large element in this style of dance, and students will have the chance to work on improvisation skills as well. At the end of the week students will perform several pieces for parents. There will be a short snack/lunch break each day, so please pack a snack & drink. *This week is required for Teen & Senior Elite Co. members, as they will learn their Lyrical choreography.  Non-competition students are also welcome.

FAIRYTALE DANCE

AGES 3.5 TO 5

Dreams really do come true….come join us for this magical dance experience!
This program is specifically designed to introduce your little princess or prince to dance in a fun, playful, and imaginative setting. Each session focuses on a special fairy tale story. Students will be read the story, dance, and play games. All the while learning the fundamentals of ballet & tap, and providing a unique experience that builds confidence, classroom readiness and gross motor skills.  At the end of eah session sudents will recieve a special gift.
Please wear: ballet slippers, tap shoes and dancewear or clothing you can move in.
Classes meet Thursdays 3:45-4:30pm

Session I: Frozen II – July 7th – July 30th
Session II: Beauty & The Beast – August 4th – August 27th

Dress Code:

Students need to wear comfortable clothes they can move in and proper dance shoes.

For Lyrical/Contemporary & Acrobatics: Barefoot or neoprenes.

For Jazz : Jazz shoes or Ballet slippers.

For Ballet : Ballet slippers.

For Hip Hop: Dance sneakers, or clean sneakers to be used just for class.
